Secure, quick and easy online bookingBooking & payment
How do I make a booking?
Choose your pick-up date and location in the search form, then pick the vehicle you'd like from the results. Fill in your details, choose a payment method and enter your card information, then print or save your voucher — you'll need it at pick-up.
Can I pay the full amount online, or do I pay locally?
It depends on the rental. Some bookings only require a deposit online, with the balance paid to the supplier on arrival; others are paid in full online, with only fuel and optional extras due locally. Your exact payment terms are always shown before you confirm your booking, and any amount paid locally is charged in the local currency.
Am I guaranteed the exact car shown at booking?
We can't guarantee a specific make or model. The vehicle shown is for guidance on category, size and features — suppliers may substitute a similar or upgraded model at no extra cost, and will always provide a similar or upgraded car if your original booking isn't available due to a breakdown or accident.
Can I request an automatic or diesel vehicle?
Yes — use the filters in step 1 of the booking process to narrow results by transmission and fuel type. Our support team can also help you find the right option for your trip.
What is a one-way rental and does it cost extra?
A one-way rental means picking up the car at one location and returning it at another. Each supplier sets its own one-way policy and fee, shown in the Terms & Conditions for that specific rental before you book.
What is a fuel policy?
The fuel policy sets out how you receive and must return the car (for example, full-to-full or full-to-empty). It's shown clearly in steps 1 and 2 of the booking process for every rental — check it before you book to avoid a refuelling charge at drop-off.
Managing your booking
How do I amend or cancel my booking?
Log in with your booking details and select the reservation you want to change or cancel from your profile. Our support team will process your request as quickly as possible — alterations can't be made after the car has been collected.
Will I lose my deposit if I cancel?
You can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your rental is due to start. Cancellations made later may be subject to a handling fee of between €20 and €55 — see our Terms & Conditions for full details. No fee applies if the entire rental amount was due to be paid on arrival.
What is a voucher and do I need it at pick-up?
Your voucher confirms your booking, price and payment, and is required when collecting your car. Without it, the supplier may refuse the vehicle or charge a different price.
I lost my voucher — can I get a new one?
Yes. Log in with your email address and voucher number and you can reprint it in seconds.
Where do I find the Terms & Conditions for my rental?
They're available at every step of the booking process under “More information”, specific to the supplier and location you've chosen. You can also read our general Terms & Conditions at any time.
Insurance & excess
Can I reduce my liability (excess)?
Yes. Select the excess reduction option in step 2 of booking to lower your liability, in some cases down to zero, depending on the cover available for your rental. If it isn't offered at step 2, you can still add comprehensive cover at step 3.
What is a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)?
CDW limits what you're liable to pay if the car is damaged in a collision. It typically excludes windscreens, tyres, the underbody and towing charges. You can further reduce your liability with our Super Excess Refund option, or by purchasing additional cover directly from the supplier.
What is a Theft Waiver?
It limits your liability if the vehicle, or part of it, is stolen during your rental. If the vehicle is stolen and the keys aren't returned, you may be liable for its full value — full details are shown in step 2 of booking.
What is third-party insurance?
It covers damage caused to other people or their property while you're driving, as required by law in every country we operate in. Cover limits vary by country and supplier and are listed on our site.
What is the Super Excess Refund?
An optional cover that reimburses you, up to €6,000, if the rental company charges you for damage or theft. It doesn't change your agreement with the rental company — it refunds what you're later charged. Read the full conditions or contact us for details.
The excess is too high for my card limit — what can I do?
Every supplier offers additional insurance to reduce the excess amount. Get in touch with our team and we'll help you find the right level of cover for your budget.
Fees & charges
Are there any hidden charges?
No. All mandatory fees are shown in step 3 of booking and in our Terms & Conditions. Some rentals may carry extra charges, always disclosed before you pay:
- Out-of-hours pick-up surcharge
- One-way fee for returning the car elsewhere
- Prepaid fuel service charge
- Young or senior driver fee
- Excess/deposit hold on your card at pick-up
What is a premium location or airport fee?
A fee that covers the cost of operating a rental desk at an airport or other high-demand location. It's usually included in the price, but occasionally charged locally.
What is local tax (VAT)?
A government tax that varies by country, usually already included in the price you see when you book.
What does unlimited mileage mean?
There's no cap on how far you can drive during your rental — the price stays the same regardless of distance. Most bookings include unlimited mileage; check step 2 of booking to confirm for your specific rental.
What is the road fee?
It covers vehicle registration and road tax costs, and is included where applicable in your rental price.
How do tolls work?
Depending on the country, tolls are collected at toll booths, via automatic or electronic transponders, or through a prepaid vignette. Each supplier's policy is listed in the Terms & Conditions for your booking — toll costs are your responsibility to cover.
Documents & pick-up
What age restrictions apply?
Minimum and maximum driver ages are set by local law and by each supplier's own policy, and may include a young or senior driver surcharge. Always check the Rental Conditions for your specific booking before you travel.
Do I need an International Driving Permit?
If your licence isn't in the local language, an International Driving Permit is recommended alongside your national licence. It's a certified translation, not a substitute — you must carry both documents together.
Can someone else drive the car?
Yes. Additional drivers can be added at pick-up (not online), and must be present in person with a valid licence. A fee usually applies for the full rental period, and any driver not registered on the contract is not covered to drive.
Can I take the rental car across a border?
This depends on the country and supplier. Check the Terms & Conditions available at every step of booking — a surcharge may apply for cross-border permission.
Can I collect the car outside normal opening hours?
Most suppliers offer this for an extra fee — enter your arrival time when booking so it's applied correctly. If your flight is delayed and pushes collection outside office hours, the same charge applies. If you're returning the car outside office hours, confirm the drop-off procedure (many locations have a secure key drop box) with the agent at pick-up.
Where do I find the rental desk at the airport?
Most suppliers have a desk in the arrivals hall or a dedicated rental zone with clear signage. Others offer a Meet & Greet service (an agent waits for you at arrivals) or a shuttle bus to a nearby office — full directions are included on your voucher.
Extras & accessories
How do I confirm which extras I've booked (GPS, child seat, etc.)?
Requested extras appear on your voucher, but they're paid directly to the supplier at pick-up rather than included in your online price. Selecting an extra means it's requested and provided where possible — it's subject to availability rather than guaranteed.
Where do I add extras like a child seat or GPS?
Select “More Options” in step 2 of booking, under Extras & Additional Equipment, to add extras. They're charged locally by the supplier, not included in your online price.
On the road
What if I break down or have an accident?
Every rental company provides roadside assistance for the duration of your rental. Contact the supplier directly using the number on your rental agreement or voucher, and always report the incident before leaving the vehicle unattended.
Where do I find the rental conditions for my specific car?
Rental conditions vary by country and supplier. After choosing your pick-up location and dates, you can read the full rental conditions for any car by clicking “Rental conditions” underneath its listing.
